Credit Repair Organizations Act

The Credit Repair Organizations Act is the legislature the regulates credit reporting companies. The primary way they help the consumer is that consumers are protected from fraudulent companies. It’s import to realize that a fee for these services should not be paid until the service is rendered.

Electronic Funds Transfer Act

We use the electronic transfer of funds as one of the main ways to manage money. This law made sure that companies were transparent with fees and also security this has helped to protect consumers when using ATMs and Online payment systems.

Fair Credit Reporting Act

This act made how credit is reported more transparent. Everyone has access to a free credit report every year. This set of laws also made it easier to fix errors on credit reports.

Fair Debt Collection Practices Act

This legislation helps to protect consumers from debt collection agencies. Fair Debt Collection Practice Act also regulated debt collect, including how the companies attempted to collect a debt in ways to protect the consumer from harassment and other unethical practices.

Telephone Consumer Protection Act

These are the set of rules that outline acceptable practices what companies are telemarketing and auto dialing. People trying to sell you a product or service must have permission before making these calls.

Truth-in-Lending Act

Under these laws, lenders must disclose all the terms of credit. This helps consumers to understand the lending process.
